A DOUBLE championship for two vacant titles in the World Boxing Council (WBC) Asia Boxing Council will serve as one of the highlights in the upcoming Kasadyaan Festival on Sept. 10 in Tupi, South Cotabato.

“We are happy to present the biggest show in South Cotabato this year and I’m sure fans will enjoy a great night of boxing,” said boxing promoter Jim Claude “JC” Manangquil, Chief Executive Officer of the Sanman Promotions.

Dubbed as the “Battle in Tupi”, the fight card will be held at the Tupi Municipal Gym.

The event, supported by Tupi Mayor Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. as part of the annual week-long foundation anniversary of the municipality of Tupi, will feature two of Sanman’s top prospects Reymart Gaballo and Romero Duno, who will take on Thailander opponents.

The undefeated Gaballo (14W-0-12Kos) will fight Manot Comput for the vacant WBC Asia super bantamweight title, while Duno (10w-1l-9kos)will square off with Paiboon Lorkam (16W-8L-0D) for the vacant WBC Asia super featherweight title.

“This is a world class boxing courtesy of Mayor Tamayo and Sanman promotions,” said Manangquil.

The 19-year old Gaballo is coming off fourth-round knockout win over Jilo Merlin at the Gaisano Mall Atrium in General Santos City last June 26. In the same card, Dunostopped Eusebio Baluarte in the fourth round.

“Both of the Thai fighters are battle tested and hopefully give our young prospect some lessons” said Manangquil.
