Mandaue City Mayor Gabriel Luis “Luigi” Quisumbing officially announced on Friday that he, Vice Mayor Carlo Fortuna and the 10 city councilors are the latest local officials who will be joining the administration party, Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban).

They will take their oath as new PDP-Laban members on Saturday at the Sacred Heart Center on D. Jakosalem Street in Cebu City.

The 10 councilors are Elstone Dabon, Benjamin Basiga, Demetrio Cortes Jr., Raul Kevin Cabahug, Nenita Layese, Elmer Cabahug, Nilo Seno, Malcolm Sanchez, Cynthia Remedio.

“This is our way of showing our support to President Duterte’s administration,” Quisumbing said.

Except for Sanchez, Basiga and Elmer Cabahug who ran under One Cebu during the last May elections, Quisumbing, Fortuna and the rest of the councilors were with the Liberal Party whose standard bearer, Mar Roxas, lost to President Rodrigo Duterte.
