Fiesta Cebuana at Park Lane

THE Cebu chapter of La Chaine des Rotisseurs held a fellowship night at Kan-anan, the open air Filipino restaurant on the third level of Park Lane Hotel along Escario Street.

The theme was “Fiesta Cebuana” as exemplified by the extensive menu served on several buffet tables and carving stations. The accent was on Cebuano cuisine, as in smoked fish Danao style, succulent escargots from Borbon and tortas baked right at Park Lane.

Honorary consul of France Michel Lhuillier presided the event as La Chaine’s Baili Delegue for the Philippines, along with his wife Amparito Llamas Lhuillier, Baili de Cebu.

Dress code for the ladies was to wear either red or pink. The men wore long-sleeved shirts in white or blue.

Cenelyn Mangilimutan, the pretty general manager of Park Lane, was congratulated for the lovely and lively evening. She was presented with a citation by Michel, Amparito and the rest of La Chaine’s board of directors present—Teresin Mendezona, Dr. Nestor Alonso and Dave Sharpe.

Citations were also presented to the chef Orlando Santos, and Food & Beverage director Ian Dale Tan for putting up such a fabulous gastronomical adventure. There were dance numbers to make the gathering even more colorful. The weather also cooperated.
