MODEL Cloie Syquia Skarne, daughter of actor Gabby Concepcion and half-sister of TV host and actress KC Concepcion won Miss Earth Sweden 2016 during the coronation night of Miss Universe Sweden last Sunday.
Though she did not bag the coveted crown of Miss Universe Sweden, Cloie said she is happy that she got one of the pageant’s most prestigious titles.
“I’m MISS EARTH SWEDEN 2016! Thank you to those who have supported me and believed in me. I would not have been who I am today without you. Thank you @aumauricio for my hair and makeup and @gakuyabykimgan for my gorgeous gown,” the beauty queen said in an Instagram post on Monday.
Cloie is set to compete in the upcoming Miss Earth international pageant in October.
Sweden’s representative will compete with Miss Philippines Earth 2016 Imelda Schweighart, who was crowned last June.
While KC’s 22-year-old half-sister holds the Miss Earth Sweden crown, Ida Ovmar took home the coveted Miss Universe Sweden 2016 title and is set to compete in the Philippines next year.
Cloie earlier visited the Philippines to train for the prestigious pageant in Sweden. She even got tips from Jonas Gaffud, pageant trainor of several beauty queens, including Miss Universe 2016 Pia Wurtzbach.
