FOR their bravery leading to the arrest and neutralization of criminals in Cebu the past week, three cops were given recognition by the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7).

Police Regional Office (PRO-7) director Chief Supt. Noli Taliño yesterday led the recognition ceremony for PO1 Jilbert Cabajar, PO1 Ronnie Genardino, and PO1 Roger Bejer at the police regional headquarters in Camp Sergio Osmeña, Cebu City.

The three cops each received a Medalya ng Kagalingan (Medal of Honor) and a cash reward.

“Itong mga pulis na ito, ito ang mga dapat tularan ng ibang mga pulis, hindi yung iba na na-involve, protector, o worse nagtutulak pa ng illegal drugs (These policemen must be emulated by others, not those policemen who are involved as protector, or worse pusher of illegal drugs),” Taliño said.
Cabajar was rewarded for shooting a robber who he caught red-handed in Colon Street in the evening of August 24 which led to the eventual death of the suspect.

In the morning of the same day, Genardino and Bejer nabbed two men at the corner of Osmeña Boulevard and Escario Street for possessing sachets of shabu, firearms, ammunitions, and drug sniffing paraphernalia.
