THE MOTORACE-Kawasaki Racing Team roster has gotten bigger.

The Cebu-based team made triathlete Jonathan Liloc from Cagayan de Oro its latest addition to its already vaunted lineup headed by Cebuana Olympian Mary Joy Tabal.

Liloc caught the attention of MotorAce-Kawasaki Racing Team for being a consistent podium finisher in his age group in various local triathlon races in the country.

He was recommended by fellow triathlete John Asuncion, who is also from Cagayan de Oro.

“Our goal has always been to help those who lack the resources but are passionate about the sport. John Asuncion told us that Jonathan would really love to excel, but he just lacks the support. Hopefully, with our support, we will be able to help him excel in the sport,” said MotorAce-Kawasaki Racing Team’s Chippi Borromeo.

Aside from Tabal, also in the team are multititled triathlete John Philip Dueñas, underbone ace riders Dondon Requilme and Mark Capoy, and triathlon age groupers Tenggoy and Merly Colminares.

“It is a blessing that MotorAce came into the picture. It is a big help for me financially,” Liloc said.

Last weekend, Liloc managed to land third in the Columbia Trail Masters Off Road Duathlon Series at the High Ridge Macasandig in Cagayan de Oro City despite encountering a bad fall during the race.
