Dole-7 opens One-Stop Services Center for OFWs

Cebuanos seeking job opportunities abroad and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) will benefit from One-Stop Services Center for Overseas Filipino Workers at SM City Cebu.

The One Stop Services Center, which is situated at the mall’s second floor, was launched yesterday by the Department of Labor and Employment-Central Visayas (Dole-7).

Dole-7 Director Exequiel Sarcauga said that the opening is a response to President Rodrigo Duterte’s marching order for all regions to establish a one-stop shop that houses all government agencies and services for the ease and convenience of OFWs.

Duterte tapped the labor department to implement the setting up of this centers in every region.

The 352-square meter center at the SM City Cebu houses 16 different government agencies that offer the necessary government services for people seeking to work abroad.

Services offered can be transacted through this agencies and can be delivered within 72 hours.

“President Duterte intended to streamline government services for OFWsin every region in his first 100 days in office. Other regions alreadyhave their One-Stop Services Center,” Sarcauga said.
