THE DEFENDING champions Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) and rivals University of the Visayas (UV) will face off in the Passerelle division’s championship round after they prevailed over their respective opponents in the semifinals of the Milo-backed SBP-Passerelle Tournament last weekend at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.

Ateneo de Cebu had no trouble elimination the Southwestern University (SWU)-Phinma, 59–33, as it took complete control of the game with a 20-6 blast in the second period.

Maynard Uy had 11 to lead the way for the boys in blue.

UV, on the other hand, rallied to beat Don Bosco, 31–26, as Joshua Canoy and Steve Nash Enriquez hit consecutive three-pointers to give the Baby Lancers the lead for good and book their spot in the finals.

Enriquez and Canoy combined for 15 markers in the low-scoring, defense-oriented affair.

The very same squads will also be facing off the SBP crown after the reigning title holder UV clobbered Don Bosco, 48–27, behind Michael Monton’s 13 points and Ateneo de Cebu blasted the University of San Carlos, 63–43, behind William Allosada’s 17 markers.
