Two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle shot dead last Friday a 69-year-old tricycle driver in Barangay Tulic, Argao town in southern Cebu.

Sabeno Mamac of Barangay Canbanua, Argao, died after he was shot in chest and head, said PO3 Von Tecson of the Argao Police Station.

Tecson said that Mamac was ferrying a female passenger in his tricycle from the town’s public market to Barangay Tulic when when his assailants, who wore full-face motorcycle helmets, tailed him for a while and then overtook him.

He said when the assailants were running side-by-side with the tricycle, the motorcycle backrider pulled out a gun and shot the victim.

The passenger was not hurt in the attack.

Tecson said they were looking at a personal grudge as the motive of the killing considering that last week, the victim was involved in a hacking incident in their place.
