MR. PURE Energy Gary Valenciano is now a grandfather as one of his daughters-in-law has given birth to a baby girl yesterday morning.
Samantha, wife of director/singer Paolo Valenciano, gave birth to Nataleia “Leia” Martine at 1:21 a.m. yesterday (Nov. 2) at an undisclosed hospital.
Baby Nataleia, who weighs 7.9 lbs, is the first grandchild of Gary V and his wife Angeli Pangilinan Valenciano.
A friend of the Valencianos, Jackie Maniquis, broke the news to ABS-CBN News.
“I’ll never look at a mother the same way again. They are the superior species! I can’t believe I’m a dad,” said Paolo.
The same sentiment was shared by Gary even as he waxed nostalgic about the moment when his son Paolo was born.
“I’m speechless, dumbfounded … blessed … I remember Paolo … the day he was born,” said Gary.
Paolo and Samantha have been married for more than three years. They tied the knot at the Manila Polo Club in February 2013.
