USC grad in top ten of the Chemical Engineering exam

A Chemical Engineering graduate of the University of San Carlos (USC) is the lone Cebuano who made it to the top ten of the November 2016 Chemical Engineer Licensure Examination released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Tuesday night.

Franz Loui Estrosos Rosario ranked 7th with an average rating of 80.90 percent.

Clarence Joseph Uy Co of De La Salle University-Manila (DLSU-Manila) took the top spot with an average rating of 85.50 percent. He is followed by Ariel Raye Vivas Rica of the University of the Philippines-Diliman (UP-Diliman) with 84.2 percent rating.

Other top notchers are Christian Adrian Mendoza Uson of DLSU-Manila (3rd, 83.7 percent), John Andrew Kane Perez Jovellana of UP-Diliman (4th, 83.2), Crestore Lex Tapia Capiña of Mindanao State University-Iligan Institure of Technology (5th, 81.20), Marc Francis Maligsa Labata of UP-Diliman and Samuel Penn Lopez Sy of University of Santo Tomas (UST) tied at 6th with 81 percent rating.

Ralph Edrean Bondoc Omadto of Adamson University landed at the 8th top spot with 80.80 percent, followed by Beatriz Claire Bautista Torre of UST (9th, 80.70) and Rene Rey Bucag Mondia of Xavier University (10th, 80.30).

Of the 918 who took the exam, only 534 passed the exam given by the Board of Chemical Engineering in Manila and Cebu earlier this month.
