CEBU CITY—A 47-year-old overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who fell victim to an automated teller machine (ATM) scam, went to the office of Cebu City Councilor Dave Tumulak on Wednesday.

Eniel Ybañez, a resident of Barangay Lutopan in Toledo City, said he discovered on Saturday that P200,000 was missing from his ATM account.

When he checked the bank, he discovered that someone made unauthorized withdrawals.

The amount was part of the P278,000 he saved while working at Qatar for two years as a construction worker. He went home last May.

Ybañez said he remembered that the last time he withdrew from his ATM was on Nov. 11 at the South General Hospital in Naga City.

At that time, he only took P4,000.###
