TWO persons were found dead in separate places in Lapu-Lapu City last Sunday afternoon.

Eduardo Paquibot, a 59-year-old resident of Sitio Ibabao, Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City was found hanging from a beam by a friend named Edgar Amodia at a shanty near his daughter’s house at 3:00 p.m.

Amodia said Paquibot told him that he wanted to commit suicide since he was suffering from a heart problem. There were no indications of foul play, police said.

In Sitio Kalubihan, Barangay Marigondon, several children found a driver identified as Alvin Melieno unconscious at an abandoned house in the area.

Police said Melieno’s wife Janet admitted that her husband had been suffering from a heart problem but cannot afford to undergo treatment.
