THE SCENIC town of Argao, southern Cebu, will be the host of the Philippine Tough Truck Challenge XVI this weekend.

Some of the best off-road drivers are expected to compete in the biggest national 4×4 off-road competition in the country that is organized by Argao town Mayor Dr. Stanley Caminero.

Around a dozen professional off-road drivers will be testing their skills in the rough terrain of the town which is around 70 kilometers south of Cebu City and known for its unspoiled natural tourist spots.

The competition will be held in Barangay Canbanua.

“This year’s race will be one of the most interesting races of the Philippine Tough Truck Challenge Series (because) we are using (as part of the obstacle track) natural terrain and the long winding river of Argao,” National Association of Filipino Off-Roaders president Ramon Toong said.
