Ateneo de Cebu makes debut in Cesafi beach volley this Saturday
A MONTH after winning the indoor volleyball tournament, the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles hope to continue their dominant run in the league as they make their debut in the Cesafi girls’ beach volleyball tournament this Saturday at the Southwestern University (SWU) sand courts.
Formed just a couple of weeks ago, the team is no pushover as it is comprised of the league superstars in Cesafi — best attacker Jennifer delos Santos, blocker Danielle Malazarte and Angelyna Grace Canieso.
Magis Eagles mentor Mario Sala said he and his coaching staff composed of assistant coaches Jamel Macasamat and Jordan Paca hope their team would be able to explore their talents and strengthen their chemistry in the sand courts in this tournament.
“Our goal for the girls here is to make them discover the importance of consistent defense and smart offense,” Sala said.
The Magis Eagles will be battling University of Cebu, University of San Carlos and University of Southern Philippines Foundation this weekend.
