THE backlogs in driver’s license cards in the Central Visayas will soon be resolved by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) 7.

LTO-7 Director Alita Pulga told Cebu Daily News that they are set to get a total of 211,197 cards for professional and nonprofessional driver’s licenses from the central office today.

“We hope to get these cards tomorrow (today) and other consumables (like ink). After claiming, we can start printing,” Pulga told Cebu Daily News.

The LTO-7 has been encountering backlogs in processing driver’s licenses since August 2015 until October 2016 due to problems of procurement.

Pulga will coordinate with malls in Cebu City for the distribution of the driver’s license cards.

Among their plans is to put up dropboxes for driver’s license application forms.

After processing, the LTO-7 will then text the applicants on when and where to pick up his/her driver’s license.
