THE University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Panthers denied the Southwestern University (SWU)-Phinma Cobras a shot at the Final Four as they beat the powerhouse squad, 75–62, in the 2nd Raul Cabanero Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament on Monday at the Bulacao Sports Complex.

Rich Managor, USPF’s new recruit from Nigeria, tallied a game-high 24 markers.

The Cobras were denied of a second win, which would have complicated the semifinal picture.

The knockout semifinals will commence tomorrow with the second-seed University of San Jose-Recoletos Jaguars taking on the third-seed Cebu Institute of Technology-University Wildcats. Then on Friday, the top-seeded University of the Visayas Green Lancers will battle the fourth-seed University of Cebu Webmasters. Winners there will battle for the crown on Sunday.
