MAO BA?

IT’S NOT ABOUT THE TURNOUT

Will there be many people who will join the Walk for Life today?

In Cebu City, pro-life advocates are expecting at least a thousand participants.

The turnout, however, won’t reflect the sentiments of the people, according to one of the organizers.

“We had limited time to prepare for it, and not many people knew about it,” he said.

If the turnout will not be as expected, “it’s okay because we still have more prayer walks in the coming days,” he added.

WISE KID

Is death penalty the best solution to crimes?

“I don’t think so,” a teenager said. Why?

“Wasn’t that measure imposed in other countries? Did it really address criminality? Certainly not,” he said.

“As long as evil exists, there will always be crimes. And killing people, even criminals, is evil,” he added.

ASHES TO ASHES

In 2018, Valentine’s Day will fall on the same day as Ash Wednesday.

“Sa mga walay uyab, okay ra. Ash Wednesday bitaw. Mobalik ra ta tanan sa abog (To those who have no lover, it’s okay. It’s Ash Wednesday. We allwill turn to ashes),” a man said with a laugh.
