REIGNING Cesafi men’s volleyball champions University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Spiking Jaguars and women’s third placers University of San Carlos (USC) Lady Warriors look to punch their tickets to the National Finals as they compete in the volleyball tournament of the Private Schools Athletics Association (Prisaa) regional meet tonight in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

Fresh from their inspiring victory in the Cesafi in which they put an end to the two-year reign of the Southwestern University, the Spiking Jaguars enter the tournament confident as ever as they have not picked players from other schools to boost their lineup.

On the other hand, unlike the Spiking Jaguars, the Lady Warriors, who earned the right to represent Cebu in the meet after the USJ-R Lady Jaguars decided to back out, have added the services of University of Southern Philippines team captain Richa Valerie Tangeres and setter Gladeis Gapol for the upcoming tournament.

Both teams will play against a squad from Bohol in a best-of-three series with the winner advancing to the national finals to be held in Zambales later this year.

Game 1 for the men’s division is set at 7 p.m. while the women’s division will start at 8 p.m.
