San Beda takes NBTC title over Ateneo de Cebu

The San Beda Red Cubs defeated the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, 79-61, in the finals of the SM NBTC League National High School Championship Thursday night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Evan Nelle, who was eventually named as the competition’s Most Outstanding Player, led the back-to-back champions Red Cubs with 18 points, five rebounds and three steals.

Travis Mantua had 14 for Ateneo de Cebu.
