Panerio leads Panthers to victory vs Bulldogs
MARK Panerio scored 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in his return from an injury as the Panthers pounced on the undermanned Bulldogs, 78-54, to remain undefeated in the Elite Basketball Club – Cebu Season 8 last Sunday night at the Visayan Glass Gym in Guadalupe.
The former Southwestern University skipper Panerio, who was three assists away from a triple-double performance, was backed by Stephen Sanchez with 15 markers.
Missing the services of their key players, the Bulldogs were led by the efforts of Third Uy, who had 19 points and 13 boards.
The Panthers improved their win-loss record to 3-0 while the Bulldogs suffered their first loss in three games.
In the other games, the Eagles (1-2) defeated the Lions (1-2), 55-51, while the Wolves (1-2) pulled down the Seahawks (1-2), 73-67.
