THE Land Transportation Office (LTO-7) will issue within this week a show cause order to David Lim Jr. and nurse Ephraim Montalbo Nuñal, requiring them to explain why their driver’s licenses should not be suspended or revoked.

David Lim Jr. will be required to explain the road incident last March 19 which led him to shoot Nuñal’s feet.

A separate show cause order will also be issued by LTO to Lim’s father, David Sr., who figured in a traffic accident that killed a fish dealer in a flyover along Archbishop Reyes Ave. in Cebu City last March 4.

Cebu Daily News tried but failed to reach lawyer Orlando Salatandre Jr., David Jr.’s legal counsel, yesterday.

Lawyer Pedro Leslie Salva, the counsel of David Sr., said they will wait for the LTO’s show cause order.

Lawyer Mundlyn Misal-Martin, Nuñal’s lawyer, said they want to know what traffic violation her client may have committed.

“My client was the victim in this case,” she told reporters.

Charges of frustrated murder and illegal possession of ammunition were filed in court against David Jr. after he shot Nuñal on the left thigh and right ankle.
