C. Padilla, Cebu City fire destroys house, damages another
A fire of still undetermined origin destroyed a house and damaged another in C. Padilla Street, Barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City on Wednesday evening.
The Cebu City Fire department received the fire alarm at 8:27 p.m. and placed it under control at 8:42 p.m., but firefighters were unable to save the house razed by the 5-minute blaze. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident, said FO3 Leo Pastrana of the San Nicholas Fire Station.
He said the destroyed house was owned by a Honey Gilaga, 24, who was still at work when the fire broke out, said Pastrana.
The fire also damaged an adjoining apartment owned by Theotimo Abellana, said Pastrana.
Pastrana estimated the damaged at 30,000.
