THREE people were shot dead in two separate shooting incidents in a span of 12 hours on Sunday in Lapu-Lapu City.

At 2:30 a.m. in Barangay Pajac, tricycle driver Saddam Dayongan, 23, and his sister Sonalia Dayongan, 25, died after their house was strafed by an unidentified assailant.

Homicide Section led by SPO2 Allan Frederick Pantaleon said at about that time, somebody stoned the house of the siblings.

When they looked out the window to find out who was stoning the house, Pantaleon said that it was then that strafing of the house started.
Pantaleon said that they found cartridges of a .45 caliber pistol and 9 mm pistol near the house.

He said that they were still trying to find out the motive of the killing and the identity of the shooter.

At least 12 hours later, an unidentified gunman shot dead a 26-year-old man inside an eatery in Punta Rizal near the old PUJ Terminal in Barangay Pajo.

Mark Justin Lascuna of Barangay Babag died after he was shot in the head with a .45 caliber pistol.

PO3 Joseph Rouel Cutanda of the Lapu-Lapu Homicide Section said that the victim had just arrived in a motorcycle and was ordering food in the eatery when the assailant, who also arrived in a motorcycle, approached and shot the victim.
