Sun & Rain keeps clean mark in A+E hoops

SUN AND RAIN kept its unbeaten slate, beating Fusion, 85-82, in the Architects + Engineers Basketball Association 2017 Davies Paints Cup last Saturday at the University of San Carlos gym.

Mike Cinco and Ferdinand Tiro led Sun and Rain with 33 and 20 points, respectively. Sun and Rain now holds the solo lead in the standings with a 3-0 mark..

Fusion, which fell to 2-1, got 21 points and 16 rebounds from workhorse forward Niel Benedicto and 19 points and eight assists from one-time Davies Paints MVP Ed Macasling.

In another game, reigning champions Bio-Fresh+ tied Fusion at second with a dominant 82-66 win over Superdry.

Ayi Armenion and Brian Acebedo had 21 points each for the squad’s second straight win after opening with an overtime loss to Fusion.
Elastogel also notched its first win of the tourney after blasting Megacryl, 86-59.

Jessie Paradero led Elastogel with 25 points as they improved to 1-2.
