San Remegio still unbeaten

SAN REMEGIO Properties registered their second win in as many games in the 7th Indie Basketball Cebu tournament as they beat the Royal Brothers, 71-49, last weekend at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts in Canduman, Mandaue City.

Michael Balankig led the way for the winning squad with 16 points, three assists and two blocks.

The Lycans also got their second win in dominant fashion, winning over Oxford, 76-48, thanks to the 13-point, five-rebound, three-assist, two-steal performance of Nino Pepito.

Another squad that got their second straight win was Velpal Estate which rode the incredible efforts of Randy Pellerin who had 32 points in their 69-68 win over the Islanders.

Team Tibur also made it two in a row with a 76-68 win over Mardam. University of Cebu Baby Webmaster standout Froilan Mangubat had 18 points to two Tibur to the victory.

In other results, former University of San Carlos forward Jam Ferraren had 19 points and eight rebounds in the RnK Builders’ 107-51 demolition of the Guardians. Joel Uy also had 17 points to lead Dr. P past the DK Builders, 78-57, while Noel Torrefiel had 20 points and five assists to push Kalye Awhay past Mr. Booking, 88-81.
