Despite an abrupt change of venue due to heavy flooding at the Consolacion Tennis Club, Cebuana netter Lyrah Mae Repollo was still able to zoom into the girls’ 14-under quarterfinal round of the Palawan Pawnshop – Palawan Express Pera Padala (PPS-PEPP) regional tennis tournament.

The 13-year-old netter from Naga City got herself an early challenge from AJ McKenzie but still escaped with a 7-4, 4-0 victory yesterday at the San Roque Parish Tennis Courts in Mandaue City.

With her victory, Repollo is set to go up against the winner of the Donabelle Roma-Jean Sarap match which was being played as of press time.

Repollo eyes to sustain her momentum when she begins her quest for titles in other divisions as she tangles with Jastine Faye Lim in the 16-under category and Camille Villar in the 18-under girls classification today.

The boys’ division is set to kick off today at the same venue.
