UNWELCOME MISTRESS

A jeepney passenger complained to his pal that a certain public official allowed his mistress and their child to stay at his office where the passenger happens to work in.

He said this had been a constant source of nuisance in the office since the child and his mother would throw a tantrum every now and then.

He said the wife is still oblivious to her husband’s transgression since the affair started two years ago.

FLUENT ENGLISH

A little girl impressed some foreigners who were dining at a seaside restaurant in a southern town since she can speak fluent English.

When the girl asked one foreigner how much his mobile phone cost, he replied, “P40,000.”

“Wow, that is so expensive!” the little girl said.

She said she has one of her own but it didn’t cost even a fraction of P40,000. “At least you can use it,” the foreigner consoled the girl.

TWICE THE VICTIM

A correspondent had an unlucky week after being victimized by snatchers twice.

The first time, she dropped her sunglasses at the jeepney and was about to go back only to see another passenger grab her sunglasses and run with them.

The second involved a male passenger who stared at her, then stood up and grabbed her necklace as he was getting out of the jeepney.
