The task group assigned to investigate the killing of Mantuyong barangay captain Antonino Maquilan has released a facial composite of the man who allegedly extorted money from Maquilan.

The suspect, known only as “June”, is considered the primary suspect in the murder of Maquilan.

“June” allegedly sent death threat messages to Maquilan’s mobile phone.

Senior Supt. Janelito Marquez, Station Commander of Centro Police Station, said the computerized facial composite produced by the Regional PNP Crime Laboratory Office in Central Visayas was based on the description of a witness who knew the suspect.

“The man stands around 5’5” to 5’7”, medium built, fair complexion and is about 40-45 years old. Based on the latest information, this man was recently seen in Metro Cebu area,” said Marquez.

Marquez is asking the public to immediately report to police any information that will lead to the suspect’s arrest.

They can call the police hotline (032) 344-1200, and mobile numbers 09288907047, 09326400236 and 09175909396.

Maquilan was shot by two men on board a motorcycle early morning of May 3, 2017 leading to his death.

Mandaue City Mayor Luigi Quisumbing also recently announced a P200,000 cash reward for anyone who can give information about the suspects that can lead to their arrest.
