WRONG GRAMMAR

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested a fake lawyer who represented a client in court.

The client’s case was dismissed, making him suspicious about the “attorney’s” record.

They found out that the suspect’s name is not on the lawyer’s list in the country. Why was the case dismissed by the court?

“Because of wrong grammar,” a personnel of the NBI quipped.

SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT

Amid criticism about the results of the 2016 Bar exams, lawyer Daryl Bretch M. Largo of the University of San Carlos pointed out that critics should be more surprised that “no Manila law school made it to the Top 10 this year.”

“Please check the record of the Philippine Bar exams. Many of Manila law schools’ topnotchers who got the highest passing rate in the history of Philippine Bar were from Visayas and Mindanao,” he said.

NOT A FASHION SHOW

A priest had some words on the Santacruzan which is usually associated with glamorous women in Filipiniana designer dresses.

“It is not a fashion show. It invites us to reflect on the Cross and how through it, Jesus Christ made our salvation possible,” he intoned.
