WARMER WEATHER

Politicians and US President Donald Trump may deny it, but the average Pinoy on the street cannot deny sweating profusely due to hotter weather.

One city resident said that while he doesn’t care about the preaching of environmentalists, he cannot ignore the unrelenting heat he experienced in the past few months of summer.

“Tinuod gyud ang climate change og binuang gyud ang di mutuo niana (Climate change is real, and anyone who doesn’t believe it is crazy),” Siloy’s pal said.

DUSTY NRA

Commuters passing by the North Reclamation Area have long complained about the dust caused by the trucks passing through there.

A local official who requested anonymity admitted that local governments in Metro Cebu need some urban planning to avoid a repeat of this inconvenience.

“While transferring the ports in Liloan or Consolacion may be good, we need to find concrete solutions to these problems,” the official said.

WELCOME REPAIRS

Those attending Mass at the Basilica del Sto. Niño have noticed that repairs are being done on the paintings at the church’s ceiling near the main entrance door.

“It will make the church more beautiful,” a devotee of the Child Jesus said.
