Bothers Paul James and Archangelo Ouano (left and 2nd from left) beat the tandem of Aljun Penute and Gerard Cosicol in three grueling sets to capture the premier Men’s Doubles Level CD crown in last weekend’s Metrosports Annual Summer Badminton Tournament.

It was a bittersweet victory for the Ouano siblings – Archangelo and Paul James and their father during the Annual Metrosports Summer Badminton Tournament as it could be the last tournament where the brothers would play as partners. It could also be the last Cebu badminton tournament for the younger Paul James and their dad, Armand who are set to migrate to greener pastures next month.

The Ouano brothers bagged the centerpiece men’s Level CD crown, beating Aljun Penute and Gerard Cosicol in three highly-entertaining sets, 21-14, 19-21, 21-16.

Meanwhile, Armand Ouano and partner Lynden Tan Gabut muscled their way to the men’s doubles Level G plum against Craig Cabahug and Carl Retuya.

“Maayo ni na remembrance…”, Ouano said, savoring his win and that of his sons, discerning that the coming weeks will have their hands full preparing for the family’s trip.
