Sar-sari store owner shot in rob try in Mandaue

A 62-year-old woman was brought to the hospital after she was shot by a man who attempted to rob her past 5 a.m. yesterday in Sitio Sudlon, Barangay Alang-Alang, Mandaue City.

Milagros Arnales, a resident of Perez Compound in Barangay Alang-Alang, was walking towards her sari-sari store when an unidentified man poked a gun at her and asked for money. When she told the man that she had no money, the robber shot her in the leg and left.

The victim was rushed by an ambulance to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.

SPO2 Renato Canja said they are now conducting follow-up operation against the suspect who is around 30 years old, about 5’4” in height and was wearing a cap and dark jacket.

Canja said the police are looking for a CCTV camera in the area for a possible identification of the suspect as nobody has witnessed the incident.
