RED TEAM Rouge was crowned champions of the Cebu Flag Football League (CFFL) All-Womens Tournament after crushing Pink Team 215, 13-2, last Sunday at the UC-METC field in Mambaling, Cebu City.
Pink Team 215 was leading at halftime, 2-0, before Red Team Rouge got going in the second half to score the huge win in the tournament participated by the best female flag footballers in Cebu.
Diane Canete opened the scoring of the Red Team Rouge with a long running touchdown for a 6-2 lead. Shaix Manabat stepped up with an interception that led to Rouge’s second touchdown that was then followed by a conversion for the extra point to seal the deal, 13-2.
The next CFFL tournament will be the CoED Tournament, which will start at the end of July.
