THE ORGANIQUE Triathlon Team officially introduced its 20-man roster at The Pig & Palm restaurant in the Cebu Business Park in Cebu City yesterday afternoon.

The team has a total of 20 triathletes, 16 male and four female.

“As a team, we are aiming to become a solid team that promotes good fellowship, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyle,” said triathlete Khu Arellano on the team’s vision.

The team has been racing for two years already but it is just this year that they’re bringing the Organique banner.

“Our first race as Organique Triathlon was last month in Dipolog (City) where we placed third against Philippines’ biggest triathlon teams,” said team manager June Bastida of their overall team standing in Dipolog Triathlon 104.

With Bastida and Arellano are Charles Balbuena, Imar Oracion, Joanna Uy, Rue Panibon, Khu Arellano, Mark Uy, Steven Guanzon, Charles Calunod, Chad Go, Alexander Diaz, May Salimbangon, Kyrie Mejares, James Pagay, Francis Salimbangon, Glenn Gonzales, Marco Mempin, Jodl Dabon, Chad Salimbangon, and Arjae Ravago.

Bastida said that their biggest challenge will be the upcoming Cobra IronMan 70.3 Philippines Asia-Pacific Championship in Cebu this August.

But before that, the team will join the Rotary Corporate Triathlon in Lapu-Lapu City this Sunday.
