PARAFFIN TESTS

Netizens questioned the results of the paraffin tests on Bohol Provincial Board Member (PB) Niño Rey Boniel that turned out negative.
Boñiel remains detained in relation to his wife Bien Unido Mayor Gisela Bendong-Boniel’s death.

Lito Cerna wrote, “Hindi yan patunay na hindi sya ang pumatay sa asawa nya (That’s not proof that he didn’t kill his wife).”

Charles Capunsan was quick to reply: “Napakarami nang paraan ngayon upang maalis ang mga gun powder residue sa katawan at kamay…Kaya hindi na ginagamit yang paraan ngayon (There are so many ways to remove the gunpowder residue from the hands and body. That’s why that process cannot be used anymore).”

Another netizen, Don-Don Ragay, also wrote: “Ang paraffin test wla na gigamit sa US kay dli accurate pro cge ghapon gamit dri sa ato. (The paraffin test is no longer used in the US since it isn’t accurate, but it’s still being used here).”

Ed Roma also wrote: “There are many way to clean someone’s act, the paraffin test is just one way, I’d say examine all the possibilities.”
