THE 1994 Bulldogs secured the top seed heading to the playoffs after they vanquished 1993 Dragons, 60-50, in a battle of unbeaten teams in Division 1 of the University of San Carlos (USC) North Alumni Basketball Conference Summer League 2 last weekend at the USC North Campus gym.

James Lu fired 19 points to help the Bulldogs improved to 7-0 (win-loss) in the tournament backed by Common Ground.

The 1985 Legends, on the other hand, snatched the third seed with a 74-65 win over the 1988 Barako.

Ex-pro Luo Regidor added another brilliant performance to his resume, this time completing a rare triple-double with 34 points, 22 rebounds and 10 assists as the Legends bagged their fifth straight win and finished the eliminations with a 5-2 card.

The 1988 dribblers settled for the fourth seed as they bumped their record to 4-3, after they bounced back to beat the 1982 Dominique’s Classics, 66-58.

Dindo Sausa led the way for Barako with 25 points, 10 boards, three assists and two blocks while Edmund Odulio added 14 markers.

In Division 3, the 2004 Rebels thrashed the 2002 Lions, 68-48, to end up with the fifth seed and drop their victims to sixth place.

Ian Callet powered the Rebels to the win with 28 points and five assists. Byron Andone had nine points, 10 rebounds, six assists, four steals and two blocks.
