Two armed men, one of them wearing a police uniform, were arrested after their motorcycle crashed while they were chased by police officers last Monday in Barangay Inayagan, Naga City.
Ronald Pardillo, 35, and John Ray Villareal, 30, who are both from Barangay Inayagan, were arrested and caught with two .22 caliber revolvers and a small sachet of suspected shabu, said PO3 Kent Cabrera of the Naga City Police Station.
Pardillo was also found to be wearing a police uniform with a patch showing an SPO4 rank. There was however no nameplate on the uniform.
Cabrera said that a SWAT team on a routine roving patrol at the area spotted the two suspects on a skeleton motorcycle and flagged them down.
However, Cabrera said, that instead of stopping the suspects sped away and a chase ensued, which ended when the motorcycle crashed.
The suspects were detained at the Naga City Police Station pending the filing of charges.
