ABOUT 500 devotees gathered at the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Roque Parish for a joint evening performance by the Spring Rain Voices and Classical Youth Orchestra for the benefit of 65 street children under the parish’s Among Gugma Alang sa Kabataan (AGAK) program.

Rev Fr. Mhar Vincent Balili said they hope to raise enough funds for these children from the concert’s proceeds. At present, the parish sponsors feeding programs, catechism, reading lessons and aids for the children to attend school.

Fr. Balili said that they look forward to providing the kids with scholarships and send them to school until high school or college.

They also consider providing the parents with livelihood programs with the condition that they will look after their children.
