Former DepEd regional chief passes away

FORMER regional director Carmelita Dulangon of the Department of Education (DepEd-7) passed away at 6 p.m. last Friday, July 28. She was 67.
News about her death was posted at the Lapu-Lapu City College LLC Admin Facebook page at 6:58 p.m., also on Friday.

“Dear all, with deep sorrow, I would like to inform you the sad demise of Dr. Carmelita Tumulak-Dulangon), ( 67 years), died on 07.28.2017, 6p.m. Keep posted for updates.”

Dulangon served as the president of Lapu-Lapu City College and was a native of Barangay Opon, Lapu-Lapu City.

She retired as regional director of DepEd-7 two years ago and was replaced by Juliet Jeruta.

The family declined for an interview regarding Dulangon’s cause of death including her wake.
