We have to make race better, says IronMan organizer
Organizers of the Cobra IronMan 70.3 Philippines are making sure everything will be ready for Cebu’s sixth hosting of the prestigious triathlon event on Sunday.
Princess Galura, general manager of the organizing Sunrise Events Inc., said her team is in its final stages of preparation for the race that will feature 2,756 triathletes from 51 different countries.
“Cebu is known in the world right now to have the most beautiful triathlon race in the world so we have to maintain that name and make it better,” said Galura in a press briefing Thursday at the Laguna Garden Cafe at the Ayala Center Cebu.
The race will be a 1.9-kilometer swim, 90k bike and 21k run that will start and end at the Shangri-la’s Mactan Resort and Spa in Lapu-Lapu.
