FORMER ALA Boxing Gym stalwart Genesis “Azukal” Servania finally gets a world-title shot as he faces WBO featherweight champion Oscar Valdez on Sept. 22 in Tucson, Arizona.

Servania, 25, a native of Bacolod City who is now based in Japan, will stake his unbeaten record of 29-0-0 (win-loss-draw) against the Mexican world champion who is also perfect so far.

Valdez, a 26-years-old from Nogales, Mexico, has an unblemished record of 22-0-0.

Servania of the Kashimi Boxing Gym left the ALA Boxing Gym in 2015 due to undisclosed reasons. He was a regular protagonist of ALA Promotions International’s Pinoy Pride boxing series.

He beat the likes of ex–world champion Alexander Munoz, Genaro Garcia, Angky Angkotta and Rafael Concepcion.

The last time Servania fought in the Philippines was in 2015, where he beat the unheralded Mexican boxer Juan Luis Hernandez in Davao City by unanimous decision to defend his WBO Inter-continental super bantamweight title.

After that, Servania debuted in Japan by beating Indonesian Hendrick Barongsay, Venezuelan Alexander Espinoza and fellow Pinoy boxer Ralph Lulu.
