CEBUANO MMA fighter Rodel “Pitbull” Valisado of Tatus Muay Thai MMA finally gets a chance to log his first win in mixed martial arts as he goes up against Nigerian Simon Uchenna in the co-main event of the Cebu Extreme Fight League (CEFL) 2 “Respect” that will be held at the Cebu City Sports Institute on August 26.

Valisado looks to redeem himself after losing in his debut fight in MMA by knockout in 2015 against fellow Cebuano Johniel Castro.

“I will do my best to win this fight because I lost my debut and it still haunts me to this day,” said the 32-year-old Valisado during a press conference last Tuesday evening at the YawYan ArDigma Cebu gym in downtown Cebu City.

“I am training very hard for this fight and I am looking forward to see him (Uchenna) inside the cage.”

The 23-year-old Uchenna, a debutant in the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA), is an engineering student of the University of the Visayas. He will fight under the banner of the famed YawYan ArDigma Cebu.

“As an engineering student, it’s very tough to balance your time [between studies and training] but I have to sacrifice because I badly want to test myself in this sport and want to overcome my doubts.

I have been training for almost a year now and I am very excited to set foot in the cage and showcase what I’ve learned in training,” said Uchenna.
The main event will feature Citi BJJ’s ace grappler Cipooz “Aquaman” Guadez making his MMA debut against Tonix “Silent Killer” Borres of JB Dream Fitness gym.

The promoter of this fight card is YawYan ArDigma chief Master Benigno “Ekin” Caniga Jr. with the support of the Cebu City Sports Commission (CCSC).
