CEBUANO tennis aces Jan Godfrey Seno and Arthur Craig Pantino struggled on Monday afternoon and fell short in the third round of the Palawan Pawnshop – Palawan Express Pera Padala (PPS-PEPP) Olivarez Cup in Sucat, Parañaque.

After a huge 6-2, 6-4 win over 14th-seed John Altiche in the second round, the 16-year-old Pantino wasn’t able to ride on his momentum as he fell short against a much-experienced foe in 37-year-old Johnny Arcilla, 6-4, 6-1, in the third round.

Also failing to make it into the next round is Bogo City’s Seno, whose comeback efforts went into waste after losing to Rodolfo Barquin in a three-set thriller, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, to bow out of the tournament.
