A brother of a policeman was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Guba, Cebu City, on August 15, Friday morning.

Jobelon Suquib, 41, from Barangay Guba, Cebu City was arrested by police operatives inside his apartment and  yielded 30 grams of shabu worth P65,000.

Senior Insp. Arieza Otida, head of Talamban police, said the buy-bust operation against the suspect was conducted after three weeks of surveillance.

Jobelon Suquib is the brother of Chief Insp. Gerald Suquib, who was assigned in Cebu City Police Office before being transferred to Mindanao.

The suspect is now detained in Talamban jail pending the filing of charges against him.

Talamban police also arrested Stanley Coca, a former member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in an earlier operation.

CCPO director Joel Doria warned that police operations have been intensified to prevent more crimes.
