Team Ball is Life dominated the rest of the field and breezed to the championship in the Common Ground 3×3 Presented by Gatorade with a scintillating 21-14 win over RMA Cargo Logistics in the finals last weekend at the Aznar Coliseum.

Manned by former two-time Cesafi MVP Macmac Tallo, PBA D-League guards Joseph Nalos and James Regalado and ex-Southwestern University big man Bernie Bregondo, Ball is Life had little trouble imposing their will on their rivals in this tournament organized by Cebu’s premier lifestyle + athletics boutique, Common Ground.

The feat nabbed Tallo and his crew special prizes from premium athletic brands Stance, McDavid and Mitchell and Ness.

Ball is Life topped Bracket 1 with a perfect 3-0 win-loss record before disposing of Team Toyota Mabolo in the quarterfinals, 18-12. They then ousted Batang Pound in the semis, 21-10.

RMA’s road to the finals was a bit more thrilling as it scrapped its way past the team of Cebu First District Representative Samsam Gullas in the semis, 21-20.

Team Samsam had several chances to win the match but guard Gileant Delator turned the ball over on consecutive drives to the rack. Villaver, who had missed two free throws that would have won the game earlier for RMA, did not waste another chance as he swished one to end the match in their favor.
