Petron Global Carriers beat Bling Nation in SHAABAA

THE 2007 Petron Global Carriers continued to ride high as they zoomed to their fifth straight win with a, 60-41 rout of the 2011 Bling Nation in Division C of the the 22nd Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Basketall Tournament Powered by Common Ground last Wednesday at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.

Brennon Gothong led the charge for Petron with 14 points and four assists while Christian Pepito, Karl de Pio and Raymund Ortiz all played key roles with 11 points apiece.

In other games, the 2013 Hyskos beat the 2006 Prince Warehouse, 43-40, while the 2008 Cottonseed bested the 2010 Omega Pain Killer, 60-53.
Kogi-Q-Riway 37 gained a tie for the lead in the standings after they blew away Chick@Phil, 44-29, in Division B.

Theogene Lim powered Kogi-Q-Riway 37 to their sixth victory in as many games, with 10 points, three rebounds and three assists. They are now tied with idle 2001 Dynacast at the top of the standings at 6-0.

Meanwhile, the 2000 Core Pacific did not break sweat in grabbing their fifth win via default over the 1993 King Properties.

The 1999 AutoLAB also creamed the Filmon Finishing Studio 1994, 54-40, behind a balanced attack that saw six different players score between nine and six points.
