The town is known for its natural attractions such as Tanguige Islet, Mangrove Plantation, Bantay Tore and the white sand beaches.

“Madridejos has preserved the remnant of the Fort Kota Park which was destroyed during the Yolanda typhoon. I admire the heart of my fellow Lawisanons to not touch or restore it but to preserve it. We do very much value our culture and history, for it is our home,” Tawide told Cebu Daily News.

Montesclaros wears the sash of Minglanilla, which is known as the “Sugat Capital of the South” for its famed Kabanhawan Festival, which culminates on  Easter Sunday.

“Minglanilla isn’t only about caves and waterfalls or being known as “Sugat Capital of the South.” Apart from these, Minglanilla is also a driving factor that contributes to the economic growth of Cebu including trade and tourism because as our slogan goes, “It’s All In Minglanilla,” Gerodias told Cebu Daily News.

She said she has already  thought of a way to  entice more people to visit Cebu.

“I will promote the beauty of Cebu by posting photos of my travels which go beyond the scenery but also the food and the people,” she added.
