The son of Cebu City councilor Joel Garganera is in hot water after allegedly beating up a call center agent in Bonifacio Street, Barangay Tinago, Cebu City early morning on Wednesday.

Federico Garganera and four other men allegedly punched and kicked Neil Elwyne Bao.

The victim, who sought the help of Waterfront police (Station 3), has yet to decide if he will file complaint against the suspects.

Councilor Garganer, in a text message, said his son needs to face the consequences of his act should he be found guilty.

“It is painful for a father to see his son committing these acts, but we have laws to abide,” the city councilor said.
