AFTER controversial videos of him during a trip to Bantayan Island went viral, Kapamilya actor John Lloyd Cruz has apologized to his fans via Instagram.

Instagram user @ekomsi believed to be Cruz posted a photo of a calm sea and sky at dusk with the caption: “diz iz mi lerning (sic). very humbling but i do apologize to the little boys and girls. no regret babies just life revealing its raw beauty.”

Cruz had been spotted in Santa Fe, Bantayan Island since last Friday, enjoying the company of rumored girlfriend and fellow Kapamilya actress Ellen Adarna and their friends.

Adarna and her friend Doreen Ting’s photos and videos posted on Instagram confirmed their getaway on the island.

But the gang’s vacation turned controversial after several videos of the actor from  their friends’ Instagram stories made the rounds in social media. A netizen named MJ Ansano shared three videos in one post on his Facebook account.

The caption of his post reads, “Anyare kay John Lloyd Cruz? Disclaimer: Videos from @doreenting’s IG. Ellen Adarna’s friend.”

Ansano’s post had 10,000 likes and 40,000 shares as of 3 p.m yesterday. When Cebu Daily News checked Ansano’s post at 3:31 p.m. yesterday, the post was no longer available.

The first video lasted for 14 seconds and showed Cruz shirtless and wearing pajamas.

He was sitting while dancing to the beat of a K-Pop song but what shocked netizens was when he made the F sign using both hands.

The second video also ran for 14 seconds and showed his left thumb wrapped in a white cloth.

Cruz could be heard saying in the video, “Kunan mo ako sa Gasul,” as he proceeded to sit beside the Gasul tank. Adarna was also seen in the same video. The third was a six-second video which showed Cruz in a videoke session.

Cebu Daily News tried to reach Ting for her comment yesterday but to no avail.

Adarna, for her part, defended Cruz as a reaction to this comment by DJ Rico Robles (@ricochismoso): “For those asking about this … these people work hard, they had time off, they all took a vacation, had fun and had a few (beer emoji) ‘C mon guys it’s 2017’ #vacay #RandR #theydeserveit press like you feel the same.”

Adarna replied to Robles’ comment with: “Word. Hindi naman kami nag yoga retreat. Lol.”
